About the Authors
- Rick Osborne
- Growing up, Rick Osborne really liked Superman. Superman did what was right, he did cool things that other people couldn’t do, and he never quit. The Bible is full of great Superman-type stories where God helps good guys battle evil guys with his awesome supernatural help. By telling these stories, Rick loves to help boys see the real-life superhero that God wants each of them to be. Rick lives with his family up north in Canada, closer to where Superman built his fortress.
- Marnie Wooding
- As a kid Marnie would go hiking barefoot with her Siamese cat in the woods behind her house. She swam so much that the pool water turned her hair light green every summer. Being a kid should be about finding adventures and dreaming big dreams. Her hair isn’t green anymore, but for Marnie, storytelling in books and films is a whole new way of exploring. She still doesn’t like shoes.
- Ed Strauss
- By his early teen years, Ed Strauss was writing several novels at once. He had a dresser for his clothing, but Ed had different priorities. The bottom drawer held his comic books—mostly Spider-Man, Tarzan, and Turok. The middle drawer overflowed with his story notes, research, and maps. The top drawer was stuffed with clothing. On a nearby shelf was Ed’s favorite reading material, an encyclopedia set he had won on a nationwide kiddie show.
- Quentin Guy
- Quentin Guy is a middle school teacher and a freelance writer who has contributed to such works as the 2:52 Boys’ Bible, Weird & Gross Bible Stuff, Proverbs for Life for Teachers, and Simply Living. Quentin has a passion for teaching and writing, especially to the tween audience. Quentin makes his home in Albuquerque with his wife and children.
About the Illustrators
- Jack Snider
- Jack Snider survived his youth despite growing up in a tiny house with five brothers. Inspired by comics, cartoons, and plain old boredom, he developed an obsession with drawing that he has never outgrown. After graduating from Kendall College of Art and Design, he worked for ten years designing cartoon art for kid’s clothes. He currently earns his living as a freelance illustrator and lives with his wife, son, and a ridiculous number of pets in Michigan.
- Anthony Carpenter
- Anthony Carpenter is a freelance illustrator. In addition to the four books he has illustrated for the 2:52 series, he has also illustrated many instructional books for use in school classrooms. Other projects have included coloring books, fantasy role playing game books, and art for a set of collectable cards for Marvel comics. He lives in Michigan and is currently writing and illustrating his first children’s book.
Author and Illustrators
- Royden Lepp
- You know when you draw little pictures in the corners of a big textbook, and then flip them to make them animate? Well, that's what got Royden kicked out of math class; he was using his math textbook. In the twelfth grade, Royden was given an F in art class for not following the class and drawing comic books instead. He now makes his living by animating for computer games ... and drawing comic books.
